This Week’s Event Highlights: October 9 – 15

Tuesday, October 10: Kid’s Cafe – Sensory Fall Glitter Jar at Frank & Joe’s Coffee House (10 am – noon)

This Kid’s Cafe is going to be one your child will love!! We will be making Fall themed Sensory Glitter Jars filled with rhinestones, glitter, pretend leafs, Fall confetti and more! The activity is free with the purchase of one Large adult drink and one kids drink per child or $4 per child. We have all of the supplies!

Friday, October 13: Not-S0-Scary Halloween at River Bend Nature Center (6 – 9 pm)

River Bend Nature Center is having their 13th Annual Not-So-Scary Halloween this year on Friday, October 13th from 6-9 pm.

There will be a costume contest starting at 7:30 pm, face painting, music, tasty food, cool games, fun crafts, a cake walk, pumpkin decorating, candy, a Flashlight Fun Trail through the United Children’s Garden, and Wild Bird Rescue’s feathered ambassadors of the sky will make a special appearance!

DJ Marcus “Maniac” McGee will be DJing throughout the night. The Ruby N. Priddy Butterfly and Nature Conservatory will also be open for you to enjoy.

So dress up in your favorite costume and come on out to Not-So-Scary on October 13th at River Bend Nature Center from 6 pm to 9 pm and join in on all the fun! Admission is $5 a person, $2 for children in costume with a paid parent, and RBNC members are free! Visit for more information. Friday, October 13: Parents Night Out Hosted by Jump for Joy Play Center (6:30 – 9 pm)

Bring your kids, and let them have fun bouncing off of our walls. We will have pizza and drinks available for the kids at 8pm. We will have enough help on hand and our wonderful security cameras. Just come in to Jump for Joy or call us! There is a form to fill out for each child. The doors will be locked for the children’s safety at 6:45pm and Parents are welcomed to pick up kids starting at 8:45pm unless otherwise arranged a different time. Must Show ID to pick up children. Ages 8-13, and cost is $15 per child and $10 per child for siblings.

Saturday, October 14: Harvest Festival at the Downtown Wichita Falls Farmers Market (7:30 am – 1 pm)

Join us for our Harvest Festival! October 14 from 7:30am to 1pm. We’ll have Fall themed games, free samples of apple cider and seasonal breads, free mini pumpkin decorating, live music from Sej and Hazel, live bunnies, wool spinning wheel, fall photo opportunities, and bring a few dollars for the kids to enjoy some cute face painting! 8th & Ohio • Downtown Wichita Falls.
