This Week’s Event Highlights: October 3 – 8

Tuesday, October 3: Kid’s Cafe – Pumpkin Painting Event at Frank & Joe’s (10 am)

Join us for our first event – painting white pumpkins from Smith’s Gardentown! We will provide all of the supplies, paint and brushes! Make sure your kids wear a shirt that you don’t mind paint on. Our Kid’s Cafe events will be FREE with the purchase of a Large adult drink and a small kids drink per child (just hang on to your receipt) or $3 per child. We will have lots of fun crafts and activities that your child will love! The pumpkin painting is come and go from 10am – noon while supplies last. We currently have 40 spots available for this event!

Saturday, October 7: Mad Hatter Tea Party at Kell House Museum (10 – 11 am)

Don’t be Late! Join us for a very important date! The Mad Hatter is hosting a Tea in the Kell House Gardens! Wear your wildest clothes and join in the fun of an interactive show and tea party as the ACTors Creating Together performs the Tea Party scene from the classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. Learn about Victorian tea customs while snacking on punch and cake, and discover historic lawn games such a croquet. Enjoy a morning the way the Kell children might have over 100 years ago!

Geared toward children aged 4 to 7, the Mad Hatter Tea Party will be held in the beautiful Kell House Gardens. The program will be offered at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 7th. Parents are asked to attend with their children. The program is free for all, however space is limited so please call ahead for reservations. 940.723.2712

Saturday, October 7: Calle Ocho Festival (1 pm – 10 pm)

Our annual Calle Ocho Festival is scheduled for October 7, 2017! It is the largest Hispanic community festival in Wichita Falls, Texas! We invite you to come be involved with our family cultural event to experience the amazing music, art, food, and entertainment! Saturday, October 7: Burkburnett Friendship Festival (12 – 6 pm)

The Boomtown Glow 5K is scheduled for October 6th and Friendship Festival for October 7th. We are now taking applications for vendor booths at Friendship Festival. Please call 569-5121 or 569-2263 for more information. There will be food, many different vendors, pony rides, face paint, jump houses, petting zoo, and more!
