Monday, July 31: Harry Potter Birthday Celebration (6 pm)

Celebrate Harry’s Birthday July 31st at the Wichita Falls Public Library. Watch the Sorcerer’s Stone as an Interactive Script, all Props Provided! Doors open at 6pm; Movie Starts at 6:30pm. This IS an after-hours event! Tickets Go on Sale July 17th– $1 each. Buy Early to Guarantee a Seat!

Thursday, August 3: Pixel Art For Teens With A Space Twist! (1 pm)

For teens and tweens 11 and up!! Come to the Wichita Falls Public Library and help us decorate for our upcoming space events by creating space-themed post-it art. Learn how to grid a picture for reproduction, transfer the colors to grid paper, and create your post-it art on paper. All creations will be displayed on our back bulletin board to advertise our NASA events. THERE WILL BE FOOD!

Thursday, August 3: After Hours Artwalk (6 pm)

From 6 to 9 pm. Galleries and Downtown Businesses come together to open their doors and showcase art and music in our wonderful city! Explore downtown by foot or hop on the FREE trolley to see what’s happening!

Friday, August 4 – Saturday, August 6: United Way Fill The Bus Campaign (All Day)

The North Texas Area United Way and Walmart have partnered together for the Fill the Bus school supply campaign. On August 4th, 5th, and 6th, United Way staff and volunteers will be accepting school supplies for children in need.

All donations benefit Project Back to School, who distributes the supplies at their Annual Roundup to over 6,000 economically disadvantaged children in Head Start through 12th grade.

Donations will also be accepted during Fill the Bus. A $20 donation will cover the cost of a backpack and age-appropriate school supplies. Donations of money and supplies will be accepted at Walmart at 3120 Lawrence Road, Wichita Falls, TX.

Saturday, August 5: Cats at the Wichita Theatre (7:30 pm)

Back for its 3rd appearance at the Wichita Theatre!  Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats, the 4th longest running show in the history of Broadway, compiles the best performers in Texoma for a production that has wowed audiences each time it’s presented.  One by one they tell their stories for the amusement of Old Deuteronomy, their wise and benevolent leader, who must choose one of the Cats to ascend to The Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a whole new Jellicle life. Adults: $24, Military: $21, Students and Children: $13 Thursday through Saturday shows at 7:30 PM only. (Due to the intensity required for this show, no matinees will be held.)
