Monday, August 7-Thursday, August 10: Wichita Falls Youth Ballet Free Dance Week

Introduce your child to ballet! Experience a free class from the Wichita Falls Youth Ballet. They have classes for all ages, including a mommy and me class, and every style to chose from. Check here for class schedule!

Thursday, August 10: Animal Adventures: Learn all about Texas butterflies! (2 pm)

Spend the last few days of summer vacation enjoying a fun, hands-on experience learning all about Texas butterflies! The live presentation is put on by Riverbend Nature Center and free to all members. If you are not a member, fret not, the presentation is included with general admission ($5). While you are there, check all of the other attractions they have to offer. Learn more about those here!

Thursday, August 10: WFISD Fan Fest 2017 (6:30 pm)

Fan Fest is the kick-off to the W.F.I.S.D. athletic season! Help WFISD kick off the athletic season and cheer on your favorites athletes, cheerleaders, dancers and band members! Gates open at 6:30 pm and the program will begin at 7 pm with FREE admission!

Friday, August 11 – Saturday, August 12: Cats at the Wichita Theatre (7:30 pm)

Back for its 3rd appearance at the Wichita Theatre!  Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats, the 4th longest running show in the history of Broadway, compiles the best performers in Texoma for a production that has wowed audiences each time it’s presented.  One by one they tell their stories for the amusement of Old Deuteronomy, their wise and benevolent leader, who must choose one of the Cats to ascend to The Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a whole new Jellicle life. Adults: $24, Military: $21, Students and Children: $13 Thursday through Saturday shows at 7:30 PM only. (Due to the intensity required for this show, no matinees will be held.)

Saturday, August 12: Project Back to School

The Project Back to School Roundup is an informative and fun family event that provides children in Wichita Falls in Head Start through 12th grade with the essential school supplies and services they need to start the school year ready to learn.

COMMUNITY RESOURCE BOOTHS about school and community services, youth programs, assistance programs, health and safety will be on hand so parents can find useful resources.
