Monday, May 14: Maker Monday at Wichita Falls Public Library (4-5 pm)

S.T.E.A.M. based activities for children age 7-12. FREE • REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Children learn through fun hands-on activities designed to inspire curiosity and apply concepts related to science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

** PLEASE NOTE ** Children who arrive after we have begun will not be admitted into the workshop.

Monday, May 14: Monday Madness at Urban Air (3-8 pm)

This deal is straight madness! Get unlimited access to trampoline attractions for just $8 per person! Upgrade for access to the Warrior Course and Tubes for just $5. Not valid on school holidays.

Monday, May 14: Girl’s Night Out at Stick’s Place (5:30 – 8:30 pm)

Join us for May GNO at Stick’s Place! Stick’s Place is the premier location in Wichita Falls when it comes to bar atmosphere and live music. They host live music six days a week and are thrilled to be hosting us this month for GNO! With a full service bar, outdoor patio and large dance floor, it is sure to be a great time!

Tuesday, May 15: Kid’s Cafe with CommunityMed (10 – 11:30 am)

CommunityMed is a local, walk in Clinic in Wichita Falls and they will be providing our Kid’s Cafe this week! We will learn how to bandage, what to do with a burn and so much more! Each child will get to take home a stuffed animal!

The event is first come first served! We should hopefully have enough for everyone!  Just make a $5 Purchase and the event is FREE or $3 per child!

Thursday, May 17: Sounds of Speedway (7 – 10 pm)

To celebrate our 5th season of Sounds of Speedway we’re bringing back some of our most popular performers.

Carolyn Wonderland is a multi-award winning blues artist from Texas. She won Best Female Vocalist (not bad for a guitar picker!) at the 2011/12 Austin Music Awards. Previously she and her band were named Austin’s Best Blues Band at the 2009 Austin Music Awards, where Carolyn picked up the award for Best Female Vocalist, too!

Tickets: $20 in advance / $25 at the door
Season tickets on sale through April 18 (6 tickets for $100-can be used at any show)
Tables: $150 for 6 seats (reserved seating)

B.Y.O.B. (beer & wine)
Gypsy Kit food available at all concerts
Doors at 6:15pm, Concert at 7pm

Saturday, May 19: Tech for Teens Hackathon (8:30 am – 3:30 pm)

Tech for Teens will be holding a “Hackathon” open to all 4th-8th graders in the Wichita Falls area in MSU’s Bolin Hall. Events will include a mini programming contest in Javascript and a team contest. The event will be entirely FREE for students. Lunch will be provided at no cost. Students will also get to experience other programs such as a cubing meetup and a robotics demonstration. LIMITED TO 50 STUDENTS! Saturday, May 19: Kids Color Run at Sheppard AFB (9 am – noon)

Saturday, May 19: Studio Saturday at The Kemp (10 am – noon)

NEW this year, we are creating an Art Passport; each Studio Saturday you attend will bring a new stamp in your passport book!

Are you looking for an opportunity for your children to explore their creative side? You provide the imagination and creativity; we’ll provide the art supplies! Our monthly Studio Saturday event is free of charge. Drop in for a few minutes or the full two hours, we have a fun and artful project to work on each month.

All ages are welcome and the event is FREE!
(children must be accompanied by an adult)
