This Week’s Event Highlights: January 1 – 6

Tuesday, January 1: First Day Hike: Mesquite Ridge Trail

Our second First Day Hike will be to the Mesquite Ridge Trail overlook to catch a glimpse of the first sunset of the New Year. The trail is about 1.1 miles round-trip and has one hill to walk up/down. There is a shorter route to the overlook, located near #5 on the trail map, with stone steps to walk up/down. View our trail maps here: https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/lake-arrowhead/map

Meet at The Horn Tunnel, and we will walk to the Mesquite Ridge Trail from there. The ranger will explain both routes to the overlook.

Please dress for winter weather, bring water, and binoculars are recommended for any potential wildlife sightings. We will update Facebook if the hikes are cancelled due to weather conditions.

We have two First Day Hikes on January 1, 2019:
Dragonfly Trail, 2-3PM
Mesquite Ridge Trail, 5-6PM
