This Week’s Event Highlights: April 16 – 22

Tuesday, April 17: Kid’s Cafe with KFDX Weatherman Kevin Selle & Tornado Bottles at Frank & Joe’s (10 – noon)

Kevin Selle, Chief Meteorologist, will be teaching the kids about weather, storms, tornados and clouds! He has some exciting interactive things planned!

We will also be recreating our Sensory Jars on a larger scale! Please BRING YOUR OWN BOTTLE! Your bottle can be plastic or glass but you will want it to be age appropriate for accidental dropping!

This Kid’s Cafe will be $5. Feel free to bring little toys your child may want to add to their sensory jar (ex. Shopkins, little superheroes, buttons, etc.). We will also have some fun add ins!

Tuesday, April 17: Lemonade Day Lending Night at TCCU (4:30 – 6 pm)

OPEN TO REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS OF LEMONADE DAY ONLY: Young Entrepreneurs and Mentors are invited to Texoma Community Credit Union for a special night to learn more about an important part of starting a business – business loans!

Loans will be available to help with the start-up costs of lemonade stands. Please bring your business plan with you to present to the loan officers!

April 20 – 21: Wichita Falls PRCA Rodeo (7 – 10 pm)

Come watch the action each night as cowboys and cowgirls compete in Bull Riding, Team Roping, Barrel Racing, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling, and Calf Roping…Rodeo is the official sport of Texas!

Saturday, April 21: Wichita Falls YMCA Healthy Kids Day

Healthy Kids Day is a free community event to help parents begin thinking early about ways to keep their kids both physically and intellectually active this summer. It is the largest event of its kind in the nation, taking place at over 1,600 Ys who are committing to taking on summer to address critical gaps in health and education.

Saturday, April 21: Dancing Through History Guinness Record Breaker (5:30 – 10 pm)

Let’s support The Wichita Falls Kitchen’s Meals on Wheels program while breaking the Guinness World Record for only $5!

Great Times and Great Memories!

We’ll dance the classic Texas Two Step at 7pm for only 5 minutes to break the Guinness World Record in Couples Dancing which will be demonstrated by a professional instructor. It only takes minutes to break the record and then it’s a Downtown festival! Proceeds go to WF Meals on Wheels.
