This Saturday, March 4: FOOD FIGHT!

Family-friendly event alert!

Full disclosure: I am a member of the Junior League of Wichita Falls, so of course this event is near and dear to my heart! But I am also a firm believer in getting kids involved early in giving back, and creating a legacy of volunteerism. So this is a GREAT event to get your kids involved and teach them the importance of helping others!

For ONE DAY ONLY  the Junior League of Wichita Falls we will be competing against the Junior Leagues of Lubbock, Bryan-College Station, Lawton, Amarillo, Bell County, Odessa, Abilene, Waco, and San Angelo to see who can raise the most food for their respective food bank through a Food Bank Challenge.

This will be an epic Food Fight and they are asking for everyone in the community to come out and support our Wichita Falls Area Food Bank.

This “Food Fight” across state lines will ultimately only have winners, as any amount of food raised will benefit the community. Last year the Junior League of Wichita Falls raised 3 TONS of food and this year will be EVEN BIGGER!

Stop by on March 4th any time between 9 am and 1 pm at the United Supermarket on Jacksboro Hwy – you can swing by quickly and drop off your donation, or stay for a family-friendly event with food and activities!

Activities:

  • Bounce House
  • Kona Ice
  • KNIN there with a live feed!

For more details, check on the Facebook event here.

Can’t make it on Saturday? Nearly 100 local businesses will be joining the fight as serving as food donation drop off locations. A full list can be found here.

Can’t wait to see you all there!!!
