Review: 2020 Arts Alive! Home & Garden Festival
Have you ever been to a show in your area?
If not, I would encourage you to find one and then attend! Or if you own a business that has to do with homes and/or gardens, become a vendor! It’s a great way to get your name and/product out to your local public.
As far as I can remember, this was our second year going, and we enjoy it every year. The vendors always have candy and gifts to give out to all the kiddos. We have local 4H clubs there that show off their animals & allow the attendees to pet them. There is food at the concession stand. Some of the food vendors allow you to sample their wares. This year, the kiddos were able to make bracelets and plant ‘flowers’ in a bin full of potting soil. We spent several hours there Saturday and even went back Sunday to visit some booths we didn’t get a chance to stop by the previous day.
One specific area my kiddos enjoyed this year was the recycled art exhibit. They thought it was so cool that kids their age could make such amazing art only using recycled material. Legos, screws, empty bottles, buttons, butter containers, and the list goes on! I am going to encourage my kiddos to take part in this exhibit next year. Such a great way for them to use their imagination and to know that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
Check out the slideshow of pictures from our time there a few weeks ago!
Fun fact: we may have a booth there next year, so if you are local, be sure to stop by and say hello!
