Growing new succulents from clipping in Oui yogurt jars.

Let me start by saying thank you TikTok.

Yes, thank you, TikTok for hours of mindless entertainment, getting endless song bites stuck in my head (and Teddy’s head!), and compelling me to buy rollerskates so that I can have a Fleetwood Mac-induced zen, twilight skate. (This has yet to happen, but I have purchased all the gear.)

I may never try baby carrots dipped in yellow mustard, but thanks to a TikTok-er, I did learn that Yoplait sells Oui yogurt lids on their website  (in blue and clear) to encourage reusing and repurposing them! How cool is that?!?!

I’ll admit I’m a sucker for cute packaging, and their sea salt caramel flavor is DIVINE, so I’ve had a little growing collection of the jars for some time now. So far all I’ve used them for is propagating succulents, but after a little perusing of their website and corresponding Pinterest page, I now have LOTS of new fun ideas.

Just a small sample of the plants in my crazy plant lady home – two in Oui jars.

FAQ – Just a heads-up, they don’t recommend storing liquid in the jars as the new plastic lids aren’t 100% air-tight

More on the Subject

In doing a little research for this post, I discovered there are EVEN FANCIER yogurts in EVEN CUTER containers that people are upcycling. The brand is called La Fermiere and in Texas it’s only sold at Central Market. So on my next little DFW-area road trip, I might have to make a pit stop. How cute are these??!
