Recipe: Empty Tomb Rolls
One of our favorite Easter traditions to make during Holy Week are Empty Tomb Rolls.
It tells the story of how Jesus was buried and rose again for us!
You will need:
- Crescent roll or biscuit dough
- Sugar and cinnamon mixture.
We tell the story with scripture of Jesus, our blameless, pure Savior (marshmallow)
died on the cross. Then they took Him off and anointed is body in oil and spices to be ready for burial in the tomb (butter and sugar/cinnamon mixture)
. They wrapped Him in cloth, your dough. Then we do the same to the outer part of dough with butter and sugar mixture. We spray muffin tin and bake in there for time allotted on the instructions of can. After they are ready let them cool 5 minutes and you open one and Jesus is no longer there, for He has rose again just as He said He would. Praise God!
Even in uncertain times such as these, Easter is not cancelled and we hope you press into the story and hope of what it means to you! From my family to yours, we hope you have a blessed Easter!
