A Georgia girl, who fell in love with a Cowboys fan; I found myself moving to Wichita Falls in 2014 after marrying my college sweetheart.
I am wife to my handsome husband, Cameron, and mom to the world’s sweetest girl, Tayla. Together with our goofy dog, Brynn, we make up the Holley House. We are also licensed foster parents, and occasionally have the opportunity to open our home and family up to children in need.
Cameron works in Marketing for the Better Business Bureau of North Texas, and I am the office administrator for our local church, where we also serve as youth pastors. On my day off you can usually find me surfing Pinterest for a project or dreaming about our next vacation. I am a foodie, art lover, but my greatest joy comes from the sweet girl that calls me “mom.”
I am 37 years old and live in Seymour, TX with my husband Joe and our two sons, Josiah and Benjamin. My favorite color is orange and my favorite activity is hoeing weeds and forgetting to buy eggs at the grocery store. I work for the City of Seymour as the Economic Development Director as well as serve on several community boards. Most mornings you can catch me in the office listening to Missy Elliot.
My children are 10 years and 1 day a part, and I tells people often that this happened because “God has a sense of humor, and thankfully, a plan.” One is a toddler and the other is a teenager. Right now, life is completely insane. Being a full-time working/volunteering mom is hard and I feel fortunate for this opportunity to share my story, my struggles, and my triumphs with moms in the area.
I was born and raised in the big ol city of Wichita Falls, TX. I still live here along with my Wife Jessica and two daughters, Auria (7) and Addison (5). Life with 3 ladies in the house is very adventurous and interesting to say the least. They ALL keep me on my toes and remind me daily how lucky of a man I am to have 3 great women in my life…My youngest said I had to write that statement or she will disown me.
I am a recent graduate from Wayland Baptist University where I studied Business Managements. I am the Overdraft and Fraud Specialist at Texoma Community Credit Union. I have been with Texoma for five years now and love the line of work I am in.
I am also a worship leader at a local church, and have way too many hobbies to list. Blogging gives me the opportunity to not only add to my list of hobbies, but gives me the avenue to talk about my life with the girls to a new audience. Usually I just talk and discuss that topic with all the Barbies and stuffed animals in the house, so I really don’t get any feedback.
Being the First dad blogger in Texoma with Kids is very exciting and I hope you enjoy reading my posts and look forward to all the feedback!
I was born and raised on a small farm in southern Colorado. I moved to Texas, and I love it here! Wichita Falls is considered a smaller city to most people, but it’s a big city to me. I am a stay at home mom with three busy, awesome kids. James, Mitchell and Hailee.
I am working on a bachelor’s degree through Colorado State University online. The program is very fast paced, but I enjoy it. When my kids are a little older, and I’m done with my education, I hope to go in to the Human Resources field. I love the idea of having a small hand in the many different departments within an organization.
When I’m not taking care of my family, home, or doing homework, I love to read! I don’t have a favorite section at Barnes and Noble, but I would have to say the Harry Potter series is probably my favorite read so far. I also enjoy watching and playing sports, traveling to Colorado to spend time in the mountains, and exploring the great state of Texas.
