Miss Texas Visits United Regional
My role as Children’s Miracle Network Specialist at United Regional is to raise funds, and awareness for pediatric patients served here, and last week I had the honor to facilitate a hospital visit with 2018 Miss Texas, Madison Fuller. This the first time for a Miss Texas Scholarship Organization title holder to visit our hospital.
Partnerships with organizations like Miss Texas help miracles happen for children like the Gilbert twins. The twins were born early, but thanks to Children’s Miracle Network they were able to stay right here in Wichita Falls. Also, opportunities like this visit provide United Regional’s young patients with new experiences and interactions with inspiring people. When a patient has a happier hospital stay, they naturally heal faster and return home quickly.
Miss Texas acts as a goodwill ambassador for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals throughout her year of service. And like true royalty she wore her crown beautifully.
Madison visited our smallest of babies in the Level II Nursery (PIC), toured Labor and Delivery, and ended her visit on the Pediatric unit (PIC).
Madison stands out like a jewel in the crown. During the visit, she mentioned anyone could make a difference by donating book and toys or sending a card in the mail. Anything you can do to bring a smile to a child’s face makes a tremendous impact.
Children’s Miracle Network at United Regional serves ten counties: Archer, Baylor, Clay, Foard, Hardeman, Montague, Throckmorton, Wichita, Wilbarger, and Young.
