Carrot “French Fries”
French fries. All you have to do is mutter the words and my kids are on board to cover them in ketchup/ranch (depending which kid we’re talking about) and inhale whatever version you put in front of them. We have made sweet potato fries, jicama fries, and yes, carrot fries.
Your kids don’t need to know they’re healthy. I won’t tell them if you don’t.
They’re quick, easy, delicious, and won’t leave you feeling guilty for feeding your children french fries for the 12th time this week…wait, you guys don’t do that? Oh. Me neither…
All you need for these bad boys is some carrots, oil, and salt. We like kosher salt, but if you don’t like extra delicious things, feel free to use plain old table salt. Enjoy!
1 pound fresh carrots
2 teaspoons oil (olive oil or coconut oil)
½ teaspoon kosher salt
Peel carrots into thick slices or cut into strips of desired thickness.
Toss slices in oil and salt.
Bake at 450F for 10-12 minutes, or until they’re reached your desired level of crispy deliciousness.
