About Our Sponsor
This blog is sponsored by Texoma Community Credit Union, as an extension of their mission to improve the lives of families in Texoma, and build a community where everyone is given the tools to become RICH. (Ready, Independent, Charitable, and Happy).
A Word From TCCU:
We get asked this a lot, but what exactly IS a credit union?
So many people find value in shopping local, and eat local through our farmer’s markets. But did you ever consider “banking” local with a credit union? At Texoma Community Credit Union, we are a financial cooperative that is “not-for-profit, not-for-charity, but for service.” We are not a bank (even though we offer many of the same services). All income, after expenses and necessary reserves, is given back to our members in the form of lower fees, lower loan rates and higher deposit rates, as well as donated to local charities.
Those who use our services are not only members, but part owners in the credit union. We live by the “one member, one vote” philosophy – every member gets an equal share in determining the direction and decisions of our organization, regardless of how much money they may have invested in their accounts.
You can read more about credit unions here.
- Free checking accounts with cash rewards that pay you or the charity of your choice
- Savings accounts that pay interest
- Low interest rates on loans for cars, homes, businesses and more
- So many, many other services – from retirement accounts to safety deposit boxes to insurance to mobile check deposit, we try to anticipate and meet all of our members financial needs under one roof.
A full list of our services can be found here.
